How it works
PREPARATION: Ensure the surface is dry before applying. Do not hose or pre-wet the area. If treating roofs, disconnect downpipes to prevent product runoff into tanks or drains. Avoid application if rain is expected within the next 4–5 hours. For best results, apply in overcast, dry conditions to minimize evaporation.
APPLICATION: Thoroughly saturate the dry surface with the diluted mixture. Do not rinse off. For areas that don’t receive direct rainfall or are vertical, some light cleaning may be needed later to remove residue. For persistent contamination, apply a second coat 1–2 months later.
HOW IT WORKS: Once applied, no pressure washing, scrubbing, or rinsing is needed. Natural elements — sun, wind, and rain — will gradually remove dirt, moss, lichen, and stains from the treated surface. In some cases (especially with heavy contamination), full cleaning can take 6–12 months.
Special surface instruction
TIMBER DECKS: For blackened or heavily contaminated areas, lightly brush the surface with water and a short-bristled broom prior to application. Let the surface dry, then apply Purple Strike. (See our website for detailed application advice.)
LICHEN REMOVAL: Apply two coats, about 20 minutes apart, for maximum effectiveness.
MOSS IN LAWNS: Mix 1 part Purple Strike with 10 parts water. Apply directly to affected areas, ensuring a small sample area is tried first. (See our website for detailed application advice.)
POWDER-COATED ALUMINIUM & JOINERY: Test a small area first to check for any color or finish change.
