Green mould and moss usually clear within days to a couple of weeks. Lichen is much slower and can take several months, up to six for a bad case.

There is no need to reapply before then. A surface that looks unchanged at a month is lichen being lichen, not a treatment that has failed.

A 10L commercial concentrate makes up to 110 litres of ready-to-use spray at 1:10, which covers 600 square metres or more. At 1:20 as a maintenance spray it covers over 1,200 square metres.

At 1:10 that works out to roughly 26 cents a square metre.

No. Spray it on and leave it. The treatment kills the growth at the root, and rain washes the dead material away over the following weeks.

No scrubbing, no water blasting, no rinsing, and nobody needs to go back over the surface.

Most common outdoor surfaces — roofs, cladding, paths, courts, cart paths, paving, concrete, brick, stone, retaining and stone walls, timber and decking. One product does the lot.

Always test a small out-of-the-way area first. Avoid delicate surfaces, and avoid any spot where runoff could reach a pond, a waterway or sensitive planting.

Keep people and pets off a treated area until the surface is completely dry. Once dry, it can be used normally.

The concentrate in the bottle is classified corrosive and should be handled with eye protection and gloves when mixing. Diluted in the tank it is a fraction of that strength. Full details are on the label and in the safety data sheet.

Eye protection when mixing and spraying. Gloves when mixing. A respirator only when you are spraying above yourself — a roof, soffits, anything overhead. At ground level on a still day you do not need one.
